Nussbaum Transportation is a trucking company based in Illinois that has been in business for over 70 years. In 2013, Nussbaum constructed a new corporate campus including a state-of-the-art maintenance building and a corporate office building. Some of the driver amenities in their new headquarters include private shower rooms and an inviting and comfortable driver lounge. The campus also features a peaceful pond and a walking path. The office interior replicates a western lodge design with wood trussing and floors, stone pillars, large windows, and mahogany doors.
In the maintenance building, two 10-ton water-to-water units are used for radiant floor heat, a 3-ton multi-positional vertical packaged unit is used for the small office and locker room, and a 6-ton multi-positional vertical packaged unit for 2nd-floor driver lounge and break room. In the office building, there are 11 radiant and 11 forced air zones, powered by four Compass series combination units (19 tons total) for forced air cooling and hot water for radiant floor heat; three multi-positional vertical packaged units (15 tons total) for the remaining cooling load.
30% - 70% annual savings on heating and cooling costs.
